The five metal soldiers standing proudly on Monsarrat Avenue near Diamond Head have weathered many years, dutifully watching over the neighborhood. Their surfaces show the passage of time through contrasting layers of tenant paint, hand-painted numbers, and vibrant spots of deep red and turquoise rust. Each mailbox possesses its own distinct character, yet together they form a harmonious symphony of captivating shapes, colors, and textures that add character to this gem of a neighborhood on the base of Diamond Head.

This half-sheet original watercolor was painted on Arches, acid-free, 100% cotton watercolor paper manufactured in France. The hand-painted finished art size is 22.5 inches wide by 15 inches high. The finished frame size is approximately 28.5 inches long by 21.25 inches tall. All framed work is professionally framed and matted with acid-free paper and is protected with Tru Vue UV glass.
